Smart Works Fashion Sales are an iconic London experience

Our Fashion Sales help us raise vital funds that go directly to our 12 centres nationwide, allowing us to continue running our service for unemployed women in communities where our help is needed the most.

Items sold at Smart Works fashion sales are donated to us by our retail partners and supporters, including one of a kind vintage and limited edition pieces, samples, and collections of pre-loved items curated by our allies in the fashion industry.

Truman Brewery | 6 & 7 September

The highly anticipated Smart Works Truman Brewery Fashion Sale is making a big return across Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September at the Truman Brewery, just off Brick Lane.

There will be plenty of treasures to be found from vintage gems to sample pieces, all from your favourite brands and at heavily discounted, unbeatable prices. Expect the best dresses, athleisure and accessories and much more! With pieces for sale at up to 70% off RRP, this is the perfect sale for updating your look for the season ahead.

We will be operating on Saturday in 3 slots: 9:30-10:45/11-12:15/13:00-17:00 so please book for the slot(s) that you prefer. The shopping session on Sunday is free to enter, however financial donations are very welcome if you are able to support us in this way.

100% of proceeds go to Smart Works, allowing us to continue running our service nationwide.

The 2023 Report

Launched at the House of Lords, the 2023 Smart Works Unemployment Index investigated the experiences women face when looking for work and the unfortunate reality that the conditions under which they seek work are deteriorating. The 2023 Index analysed 3,784 conversations with women supported by Smart Works throughout that year.

Although we hoped the 2023 report would bring some much-needed positive news about the recruitment landscape, sadly, this was not the case – one year on from the launch of the inaugural report we’ve observed a deterioration in the conditions under which women are seeking work
