We are thrilled to announce a new national partnership with global retailer UNIQLO, alongside the appointment of internationally acclaimed British designer Clare Waight Keller — Global Creative Director at UNIQLO — as Smart Works ambassador.
Named one of TIME 100’s Most Influential People in 2019, Clare Waight Keller is renowned for her original take on modern elegance and for leading major fashion houses to critical acclaim. As ambassador, she will champion the Smart Works mission, using her voice and influence to mobilise support for our ambition to help over 10,000 women a year.
As part of the partnership, UNIQLO will continue to support by donating high-quality, interview-appropriate clothing to Smart Works’ 11 centres across the UK. UNIQLO staff volunteers will also provide in-person support at stores, and customer checkout donations will be matched for a limited time to help Smart Works expand its reach.
Anna Hemmings, CEO of Smart Works, said:
"We are delighted to welcome Clare Waight Keller as an ambassador and to build on our powerful partnership with UNIQLO. Their support brings extraordinary recognition to the work we do, underscoring the strength of our service and the impact it has on the women who come through our doors. At a time when 67% of our clients secure a job within a month of their appointment, the backing of industry leaders like UNIQLO and Clare amplifies our mission and helps even more women transform their futures."
Clare Waight Keller, Global Creative Director at UNIQLO:
“Becoming an ambassador for Smart Works is an incredible honour. I have long admired their ability to empower women and create opportunities that truly change lives. As I step into this role, I feel deeply connected to their vision and the future they are shaping, and feel excited to be part of this journey.”
This partnership strengthens Smart Works’ mission to help women succeed at interview, secure employment, and build the confidence and independence that come with it. Through clothing donations, in-store volunteering, and ambassadorial support, women are empowered to face interviews equipped with the confidence, skills, and presentation that increase their chances of success.
